The Cardigan
I live in Laguna, Philippines where it’s incredibly hot all year long. It doesn’t help that I SWEAT like you have no idea. After taking a bath in the morning I find myself already sweating profusely just walking around in my room. Now the ironic thing is: lately I’ve taken a liking to buying outerwear.
It’s really silly because I know I won’t get the most mileage out of sweaters, jackets, and cardigans. But I still find myself gravitating toward these clothing articles in the department store and, lately, in thrift stores. In fact, over the past two months I’ve already purchased four pieces. (And, in this hot weather, worn only two of them — once.)
My justification is: the -ber months are here and they usually signal cooler weather. Plus, I’ll be away for the holidays (in a cool city) so the outerwear will definitely come in handy.
Yesterday I saw this cardigan on a hanger in one of my favorite clothing stores:

I thought the closures were kind of unique. But it was priced at P2500+ which is a little too much for a piece of clothing I won’t get to wear too often.

I still tried it on though. Buttoned, the cardigan looks better on a hanger. On a human being, the effect is ruined with the weird pulling the closures create.
