The worst kind of investment is teaching someone who’s not willing to learn. At all. Actually, there’s no problem with a disinclination to get a degree. It just makes you scratch your head why they decided to go to school in the first place. Many successful people did not “waste” their time/money/resources/youth attending school while the smart ones got out when they figured this wasn’t the path for them.
