Watching Ferris Bueller’s Day Off — FOR THE FIRST TIME. I know!!!
It is unfortunate that I did not see this movie at the VHS rental shop when I was a kid. But really, now’s not the time to make excuses.
Anyway, I didn’t know that Nighthawks was exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago. Apparently, it is also home to A Sunday on La Grande Jatte. Now I’m no art person but I’ve always admired these two works. The former is my current screensaver on my office PC. The latter, if I remember it right, is a built-in iPod Touch wallpaper. It’s a familiar painting but I never really did know the title, until just recently.
The Art Institute is yet another reason why I desire to visit Chicago. I thought Millennium Park was reason enough, but it looks like there are many sights to behold and places to experience in The Windy City.
