Minor Details

So I’m starting two blogging installments this year. The first is this, Minor Details; the second I will write about soon. Minor Details, because it’s going to contain, well, minor details about my favorite blogging topic: myself. What can I say, it’s the only subject I can write about with unabashed authority.

From 2003 to 2009 my blog had a separate Whois section that contained a short profile about me. This profile was either updated or altogether revised everytime I changed my layout/theme. I look back on the stuff I wrote about myself eight years ago and I cringe. But that’s quite normal for us, twenty-something bloggers, amirite?

What I plan to do is post one minor detail about myself (e.g., Guess what, I’m a narcissist!) every week this 2011. By the end of the year I will have shared 52 things about me. The idea is based on the 25 Things About Me meme, except that I plan to expound a bit on each thing to provide context. Of course it’s already the third week of January so I might post three Minor Details entries this week to make up for the first two weeks.

There’s a lot I want to write about but with my busier schedule now it’s hard to find the time to squeeze in a proper blog entry. With this Minor Details installment I will at least get to post something regularly. Might be random, trivial drivel but it’s still something(god it’s better than nothing).
