Can we just say, to each his own? You can lower the pitchforks now.

I have a long list of “least favorite” songs, as do you. It seems rather easy to single out Bieber or Black but I honestly don’t mind either, and would actually welcome their music to my workout playlist. Or I could mention Empire State of Mind, Airplanes, or Love the Way You Lie like I did in this entry but I don’t mind those songs as much anymore. Right now, I can’t stand Just the Way You are but it will pass. I like Mr. A-Z but can do without I’m Yours, which I think is both sappy and overplayed. But if there’s one track that has stood the test of time as a “least favorite” in my book, it’s probably this one, Seasons of Love.

Credit where credit is due, it’s not a bad song. I can understand why some friends love it, why some students sing it in perfect unison and with showy voices. The lack of love is probably because I’ve seen neither the broadway nor the movie, and I’m sure seeing either would offer some context. But, right now, I’m pretty sure I’m not a fan of the song because it reminds me of *this* person who loves it, and I’m not a fan of *this* person. So yeah, chacun à son goût.
