Well, I think we know all the words to most of our favorite songs but I’m picking Semi-Charmed Life by Third Eye Blind. I remember challenging myself once to get the words down pat so I could sing along to this catchy tune with rapid-fire lyrics. This was more than a decade ago but it seems I still know the lyrics by heart.

You know how college professors would take any opportunity to get their students to sing? Well, during my time, it was common practice to have a “singing station” during Chem and Bio laboratory examinations. Now I can’t sing to save my life but during this one exam I made the shameless move and took on this Third Eye Blind song. Embarrassing! Simon Cowell would have rolled his eyes and uttered, DREAD-FUL, but he could not have faulted this kid for not getting the words right.
